Bank fishing producing well in early November…

The ‘Cornish Crew’ as they refer to themselves were up on Friday 17th November & had a great day off the bank, in the pictures are Rodney & Roger with a couple of beauties, their tactics and those of other bank anglers this month have continued with seemingly the slow retrieve producing the best catches.

Flies however have varied massively from large snakes and other pulling fry imitation style lures to teams of buzzers. There have also been some great returns from anglers fishing dries, especially daddies.
However from the returns the intermediate line has probably shown to be the best option.
Earlier in the month, Wayne Middleton had a good session also at Bessoms with 6 fish on a floating line with Cormorants & black damsel nymphs.
Around the same time, with the aftermath of storm Ciarin still with us and a cold North Westerly wind, Simon Peters & Clive Pearce had a good day in the boat.  They arguably fished most of the lake &  to great effect with 9 fish to the boat.
Fish were deeper on the day probably due to the cold wind, however they had fish from Bessoms, Ruggs, Cowmoor and Sailing Boat Bay.
Tactics were a Di5 with Black and Green Humongous and Black and Gold Humungous.
Clive also managed a cracking Brown around 5lb on a Black and Green Snake from the area around the stones.

Lovely Brown for Clive Pearce
